May 10th marks the fourth anniversary of the arrest of Ruan Xiaohuan, also known as Programming Thoughts. In this episode, we re-broadcast the conversation with Ruan Xiaohuan's wife, Ms. Bei, from two years ago. This episode was recorded in May 2023, shortly after Ruan Xiaohuan's first trial, where he was sentenced to 7 years in prison for "inciting subversion of state power." Last month, Ms. Bei shared an update on Ruan Xiaohuan's situation. Since the second trial verdict in December last year, he has not been transferred from the detention center to a prison, which generally has better conditions. The family is fighting for rights such as communication. In this episode, Ms. Bei recounts how she discovered that her husband was "Programming Thoughts," and also talks about Ruan Xiaohuan in life, their marriage, and their lives.
