The Israeli cabinet adopted a plan to expand military operations in the Gaza Strip. The goal is to completely take over Gaza. However, it is still unknown what exactly it would involve, although Finance Minister Smotrich claims that it means the permanent occupation of Gaza, which will be completely destroyed in six months. The Israelis also want to completely break with the current method of delivering aid to the zone. International organizations would be replaced by private companies operating under Israeli control. Hostage families felt that the plan was a "choice of territories instead of hostages," and the government is waging a war opposed by 70 percent of the country's residents. Is that really the case?
